Addressing Failures in the Market System

public - created 08/04/04
A civilization that employs the free enterprise system and is free of market failure should be Utopian since, as Adam Smith described, all market forces will meet each other's wants and needs as if guided by an invisible hand.

Free enterprise is, indeed, the most natural, organic, and perfect form an economy can take. However, there are individual ways in which market systems often fail to realize their true potentials.

Market failures may be corrected through existing or innovative means that improve strict lasseiz-faire decision-making, which often does not recognize all the factors one needs to make optimal decisions regarding purchases, sales, and other transactions.

This "tribe" presents for discussion ways to further implement solutions currently available. It also offers proposals that are completely novel and inventive to correct the inefficiencies and shortfalls of strict lasseiz-faire decision-making.
